Whether you believe the Egyptian’s built the Pyramids or Aliens did, we can all appreciate the wonder and intrigue that comes with anything to do with the Ancient world.
In the 1920’s around the time of the discovery of Tutankhamun there was a spike in interest in everything Egyptian and we the Brits started reproducing jewellery and modelling pieces in their style.
This silver pendant is slightly later and dates to the 1950’s and is one of the better modelled versions I’ve seen, with crisper details and an Egyptian Silver mark, meaning this was probably a mid century tourist piece sold in Cairo.
It measures 3.5cm drop and 2.1cm wide.
Weight – 6.79g
